I've heard that ssl is better for hip-hop while traktor is better suited for house music, but I play both. it isn't reliable enough for scratching, (sticker drift) and sometimes it will take a couple seconds just to recognize that I'm moving the control vinyl.
got the newer version of Torq but it just doesn't cut it. Now I want to play pretty much everything. I started out strictly mixing hip-hop but branched out.
Originally learned on vinyl and eventually moved to Torq because it was the cheapest digital vinyl system (DVS). So I'm trying to get back in the game after 5 year hiatus.
I hate to rehash this old argument but I'm really at a crossroads here.
